A+ Certification requires two exams: A+ Core 1 (220-1101) and A+ Core 2 (220-1102).

Core 1 and Core 2 exams will verify that the candidate has the knowledge and skills required to:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer equipment, mobile devices, and software for end users
  • Service components based on customer requirements
  • Understand networking basics and apply basic cybersecurity methods to mitigate threats
  • Properly and safely diagnose, resolve, and document common hardware and software issues
  • Apply troubleshooting skills and provide customer support using appropriate communication skills
  • Understand the basics of scripting, cloud technologies, virtualization, and multi-OS deployments in enterprise environments

CompTIA Network+ covers the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices. Also focus on specific areas like critical security concepts, key cloud computing best practices and typical service models, newer hardware and virtualization techniques and concepts to give individuals the combination of skills to keep the network resilient.
